Stefano Vafiadis

Raised between Italy and Greece, Stefano Vafiadis developed a deep passion for boating, architecture, and design from an early age.
After earning a Master’s Degree in Science of Architecture in Rome and winning the prestigious “Young Designer of the Year” award in 2013 by Boat International, he went on to design and build both custom and semi-custom yachts for some of the most renowned shipyards in Italy, Greece, and Northern Europe — including Baglietto, Fincantieri, Sunreef, Rossinavi, and Golden Yachts.

Today, as Creative Director of his own design studio, Stefano Vafiadis leads an international team with 10 superyacht projects under construction, ranging from 35m to 85m, across three countries, collaborating with visionary Owners from around the world.

Over the years, has been honored with multiple international recognitions, such as the Superyacht Society “Design & Leadership Award” in 2019 and 2024 (for M/Y O’Rea | Malia), along with the “Honorary Award” from On Deck Magazine and numerous features on the covers of leading magazines and books.

Since 2020, Stafano Vafiadis has also been sharing his experience as a lecturer in various academies and universities — a role that combines a passion for design with mentoring the next generation of creative talent.
This ongoing exchange of knowledge continues to inspire him both personally and professionally.
