Tilemachos Andrianopoulos was born in Athens in 1974. He studied Architecture at the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), graduating in 2001, and continued his postgraduate studies at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya_CCCB, where he earned a Master in Architecture and Urban Culture in 2006.

In 2004, he founded Tense Architecture Network (TAN) — a collaborative architecture practice engaging in a wide range of design studies and competitions.

His work has been presented and awarded in numerous national and international architectural competitions, and he has represented Greece twice at the Venice Architecture Biennale (2012, 2014). He has received First Prizes in competitions such as the Redevelopment of Central Athens (2019), the Urban Park at Kastraki (2016), the Revitalization of the Western Arsenals of Heraklion (2009), the Arkalohori Town Hall (2007), and the Redesign of the Public Space around Exarchia Metro Station (2023).

The House in Sikamino was nominated and shortlisted for the European Union Prize for Contemporary Architecture – Mies van der Rohe Award in 2013, while the Houses in Megara and Heraklion were nominated for the same award during 2015–2017. The House in Megara received the Häuser Award for “Best House in Europe” (2016), and the restoration of the Athens Conservatoire Concert Hall was honoured with the Hellenic Architecture Award (2020).

In 2025, a urban design diploma project he supervised for the city of Athens was awarded the Young Talent Award by the Mies van der Rohe Foundation.

Tilemachos is a member of the interdisciplinary group Greenproject and do.co.mo.mo International, and he teaches Architectural Design and Urban Planning at the School of Architecture, National Technical University of Athens.
